The Hobbit

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but it dragged a bit for me. Of course, this could be because I was forced to read it in 7th grade-and the fact that my lit teacher was a witch. I do so love Bilbo and Gollum, although the later scared me a bit when I read the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but it dragged a bit for me. Of course, this could be because I was forced to read it in 7th grade-and the fact that my lit teacher was a witch. I do so love Bilbo and Gollum, although the later scared me a bit when I read the book. I enjoy the high fantasy of the story, as well as the symbolize I can find in it-not that Tolkien was ever TRYING to use it as a symbol for anything. The characters are fun and real, the story was good overall, and I'd definitely give it another read.   hide
