I did not find it a particularly compelling read... Although I loved the setting, the narration was a bit of a disappointment.

A true story of a crime that occurred when detective work was in it's infancy. Dickens, Wilkie Collins, Henry James were all influenced by the crime and used facts to write fictional stories such as James' "A turn of the Screw."
