Very stirring. Great writer and thinker. He swims up stream unlike so many predictable Christian authors. Challenging both intellectually and devotionally.

One of my favorite Peterson books. Excellent book. Takes the Jesus Way and contrasts it with other people in Bible.

I love Eugene Peterson's turn of phrase, how he describes theology in poetic ways. This book is an eye-opening look at the history and context of Jesus' way of doing things, that goes all the way back to Genesis.

He's my favorite. Of course I'm gonna like it.

This is a good book about the groups in Jesus' time and their differing approaches to life.

i love Eugene Peterson...the way he writes can be convoluted, but i enjoy the beauty and meaning in every word. very challenging, unique perspective on the Christian way--such deep, insightful use of God's word!
