more A collection of essays written by different authors expounding more or less on the same theme: "Nannies, maids, and sex workers in the new economy." Some of the essays were interesting, but most were dry, overly academic and bogged down with end notes. It's tough to get into the flow of an essay when there's a footnote every two sentences, and it's even more difficult when it seems like the author of the essay has taken a large chunk of her Ph.D. dissertation verbatim and called it a chapter. I was hoping for something a little more engaging. The topic of the book is engaging . . . but in many of the essays, the style is not.
