I saw this book on the new shelf at the library and was intrigued by the subject matter, so I picked it up. I wasn't really expecting much, and I'm not sure who the intended audience for this kind of book is, but anyway -- if you're like me and you grew up listening to The Smiths and Pavement or whatever, this isn't really going to be anything new. Interesting to a point, very in depth on the rise, fall, and rise again of indie culture, but sort of neglects off shoots most notably Industrial.
