It's a shame this book never got properly finished. I would have liked to know how he wound it up. There were some beautifully written scenes, but others that were a bit leaden and dull.

Fabulously written. The master of the perfect sentence. But it was a little inconclusive and I was a bit baffled in places. It's such a shame it never got properly finished.
