This book offers a slightly different presentation to many physics texts, flying deftly between rareified mathematics and what, for want of a better word, I'll call "narrative."
This is a must have for the interested amateur and professional alike. hide
This book fills in all the gaps that terse mathematical physics books leave out. It covers the conceptual details that normal text books might leave out. Its a joy to read. Volume I covers Mechanics Volume II covers Electricity and Magnetism and Volume III covers Quantum Mechanics.
This is must-read for ANYONE who wants to be a physical scientist or engineer. The author is a nobelist and one of the greater contributors of 20th century physics. His presentation of general introductory physics is, however simple, profound and permeated of fundamental ideas.
All that I had to do with this is gone...eight years to be precise...it's here just as a reminiscence of a couple of years of sheer madness and quest for the beautiful...on the book - it's the Master Himself, so better keep comments aside

tht's all i can say
read Prof feynman's "surely you're jokin, Mr feynman". its "different !!"
