Dr West book is very interesting. However, he talks about Thomas Sowell one of the greatest African American intellectual of our times and if those two were to debate against each other i personally believe Sowell will win because he is very tough to dispute against. Overall Dr West book is very interesting and informative.

A bit dated, but still a GREAT read. I saw Cornel West on a MTV commercial and almost laughed my self stupid... but still, a great author.

enlightening and informative. a clear explanation of the needs for a changing world i really enjoyed meeting this author. his passion for his life work really is emphasized in his writings

Cornel West is one of my favorites. I love to hear him speak in any venue and I love this book. My copy is dog-eared! I used to refer to it a great deal in the beginning.
