Have read this SO many times. I re-read them all leading up to a new release every time, so I'm on the clock now and almost finished this one! Reading the first book again shows you how JK Rowling had the whole thing planned out already as there are so many little details that become signifigant later. And it's just fun, interesting and exciting! Sorry for the long-ish review - I could talk about Harry Potter all day! (Just ask my husband....)   hide

Okay, this is just the first book, but thus far, I just don't get the "Christian concern" about this book. If you've got a problem with this, than you should have a problem with Star Wars too. Because all it is, is your basis fantasy good vs. evil, and written pretty well at that.

Well-written, attention-keeping, fun story...My only complaints are (1)j.k.r., use another adjective besides "clambered" and (2) "there is no good or evil, only power." (or something to that affect. I suggest reading it!
