Be sure to start with the first of the series and read in order. References to earlier characters, etc. are important to get full impact. Some of the middle books of the series seem a little weak compared to earlier and later ones.

People of the wolf is having to do with the early north american indians.this 1st book in the series has to do with the ice age.but with these people series,you cannot skip a book.Because if you do then you won't understand some of the images and sayings and what they believe.

Fun anthropological fiction. It is hard to put down once you get into it.
