Not a good story at all.  I fyou want modern fantasy, there are better places to look.

I really enjoyed this -- Diana Tregarde is a very exciting heroine, and Lackey's derivation from traditional Old World fantasy into the realm of Meso-American mythology makes for a delightful tale.
