This was okay. It retold Ender's Game from the viewpoint of the character "Bean". But there was way too much "re-think" (or double think) for my tastes. The result sounded forced in parts.

Having read Ender's Game a few times and some of the other Ender books, I was a little hesitant to read this. Thankfully, I read it anyway. This is a book complementary to, yet completely separate from, Ender's Game. It's a very good story unto itself. Interestingly, Card showed facets of Ender that I didn't get from Ender's Game. I enjoyed this book, it was a little strange reading a story I alrady knew from another point of view. Yet at the same time it was interesting. But in the end this is an entirely new story and despite the blurb on the back has little to do with Ender.

So very awesome. More in depth into the universe of Ender's Game, probably won't be as awesome if you haven't read that first.

If you've read Ender's Game, you HAVE to read this! Really interesting to see Ender from another character's perspective, and to learn a little bit more about their world.
