One of the most intense, fair and balanced books that I have read on a President, sitting or not, Democrat or Republican Should anyone care to read about one of this countries most prolific leaders, intelligent individual and egocentric ambitious young men, then this is a must have. Edmund Morris works magic again. This is an inspiring and riveting work; I had trouble putting it down. He shows TR's main strengths (courage, moral vision) side by side with his weakness (power-hunger). Though, when this work ends, that weaknesses has not fully emerged.
