Short stories by Berg, very different from her other fictional books. It's okay, but not one of my favorites in her line-up.

I like everything Elizabeth Berg writes. It is very female I am sure. I doubt a guy would like it. She rights very beautifully. The way she words things is wonderful. "Ordinary Lives" is the perfect title for this wonderful collection of stories. Berg shows that nothing is basic, that the simplest of gestures can be grand expressions or vice versa. One doesn't have to look too hard to see oneself in any of these stories.

This book was pretty good. The first I've read of Elizabeth Berg (recommended by my friend Becky). It was a collection of short stories mostly revolving around marriage and relationships. It was good timing, because being laid up, I couldn't read for more than a few minutes at a time. I have a few more of Elizabeth Berg's books on my list to read, so I can see what her other...more

This is a collection of short stories. With the exception of two, one silly story about a woman who locked herself in the bathroom for a week and another about a hospice nurse who regretted not fulfilling her patient's sexual fantasy about her in his last moments, I loved this book.
