Its good to know both sides of the story, this was a good read

interesting, but disjointed. john mccain seems to be willing to be brutally honest with himself on what others have labeled his shortcomings, but still comes across as unapologetic and willing to blatantly use those same attributes in his political aspirations.

I tried, but he was so much a person that stands out as being elite and his experiences were so outside of the range of my own experiences that I shamefully, couldn't focus or understand it. I tried, but he was so much a person that stands out as being elite and his experiences were so outside of the range of my own experiences that I shamefully, couldn't focus or understand it. This book is due back at the library tomorrow and I didn't finish it. It has so few details about American "thought" or "pondering" about American life. It is a dry rundown of events, meetings, opinions of famous people, and reads at the intelligence rating of a grade school child. It has no heart and no meat and "knowing" John through this book is like knowing any historical character through grade school books.   hide
