This was a 'nice' travel monologue with a bit of a twist - Alice actually immersed herself in an interest in each of the places she visited. It was a story of privileged travel - but a lot of it is quite engaging story telling. Sadly the ending let the entire book down - it felt like she lost interest in her book and wandered off to watch tv :/
