The Visitation

Peretti writes (entertaining) Christian fiction which have developed over the years. This one asks the 'Question' many Christians ask; Why does God not seem to answer prayers consistently? Telling stories around healings - why do some get healed and other not - as well as what happens when vision is not realised, this has stimulating my thinking a lot.

This book was kind of slow at first, but then the slowness became intriguing in the sense that you could tell something was happening that wasn't right, even though it seemed like God's next 'visitation'. I'll be bold enough to use the cliche 'gripping' for the book.

Loved it... dragged a bit in the middle, but was still interesting. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Totally freaked me out. =D

This book is REALLY good. Its honest narrations of the shortcomings of the church are a breath of fresh air in Christian fiction. I really don't think one has to be religious to find the novel relevant.
