In this book Hyde examines the Trickster archetype, the "archetype that attacks all archetypes." He juxtaposes myths that involve the classic tricksters with more contemporary artists and examines the fact that tricksters are really the ones who move the world along by challenging the established ideas of truth and power and, thus, opening paths to new worlds.
