This book starts out very interesting and stimulating, but it is easy to get tired and lost while reading it. It is a very heavy book that demands a lot of intellectual rigor and critical thinking skills. It is actually composed of 10 books, which make up each chapter. Say what ever you want about Plato, one thing is for sure, Reading Plato will amazingly sharpen your mind, make you a better thinker and a better talker.
(I don't think ,though ,he would let me write those sentences... )

For those of you who haven't read Plato yet, I'm sure you'll enjoy these intellectual dialogs between Socrates and other main characters. Besides philosophy, its really cool to read people's dialogs that have been written thousands of years ago. talking about good and evil, politics, opinions, math ,love, justice and so on...

Watch a room full of people try to wrap their head around the idea of Forms. It makes the book worth it every time.

Para realmente enteder este libro hay que leerlo dedesde el punto de vista de PLATO,no de lo que nosotros podamos llegar a deducir como lectores de este gran libro;el contenido asi como el conocimiento de este gran filosofo es totalmente diferente a lo que nosotros pudieramos captar de su gran conocimiento...tal vez un dia de estos no por ahora... EXCELLENT

Solidifies Plato as my most hated philosopher. If I had something to pray to I would beg that your "city-in-speech" never becomes real.
