This is a great book about the history of business in the late 1900's, and has some interesting case studies of major companies. Unless you're a CEO or very high management at a big company though, this won't have much relevance to your actual career. Still very worthwhile though, and gives a great insight into why certain businesses succeed or fail.

Very good theory on how many companies have a hard time coping with new technologies. The book explains how investment in these disruptive technologies cannot be justified in a boardroom using conventional cost-benefit analysis but end up toppling even great firms. Easy to read and the examples are quite good (although not everybody is a fan of hard disks).
