LOVE HER. My first plunge into southern gothic, favorite genre overall.

Great short stories that are timeless. I enjoyed her Southern prospective that captures the unique issues of the South. Also, the stories are great to teach from because they are short, and the plots hold students' attention.

I love Flannery O'Connor. I have read almost everything she's ever written; half way through The Violent Bear It Away, haven't read all her letters.

Read the most simple explorations of the most complicated shortcomings of the human race.
