Not one of Dick's shining star novels, but an excellent sci-fi tale of power and subjugation in a post-apocalyptic future. The characters are believable and interesting, but lack the characteristic Dickian psychological depth that made the characters of The Man in the High Castle so real and engaging. For a fan of PKD, it's and enjoyable taste of his captivating style.

Orwellianism revisited in a post nuclear holocaust context.

Good, but not quite as amazing as I was expecting. I've enjoyed some of his other work more. I think it would be a good intro to Dick though if you've never read any of his stuff.
