I'm really disappointed with Bamford on this one. While I loved "The Puzzle Palace" and "Body of Secrets", Bamford really let me down with "A Pretext for War". My recommendation for Bamford is, stick to what you know (the NSA) and brush up on your CIA history before ever attempting another book of this nature. My recommendation for the reader is... do yourself a favor and rip the first half...more

Best of Bamford's books. First two chapters were really good. The third seemed like a copy from a previous book, Body of Secrets. I really wished I could like his writing style, but I don't. Doesn't stop me from reading the material though. If any of this is true, the office of POTUS has truly been abused, more so than it is now.
