Book Club #21. Too long. (The only book club book I haven't finished.) But amazing. I'll never order a restaurant 'special' again without wondering if it's a good idea. And it casts a whole new light on Mario Batali. Cooking your own food is good.

A good read if you harbor curiousity about the inner workings of an upscale restaraunt kitchen, as told from a writer who wanted to learn to cook like the pros and ingratiated his way into Mario Batali's world. An interesting read which provides insight into the realities of working in a restaurant and Italian cooking. Rather drawn-out at certain parts and could have had more flow in writing style.
