The General in His Labyrinth

Boring! While Marquez is my faforite writer! that's why I gave it 2 stars and not 0 - out of respect. I read more than 1/2 and gave up. too many people which you can't follow who is who, and too less plot. As always, he descrives geniously the dacay of the body, and sicknesses, but that's all for me, in this book.

u wont find a better fictional account of Bolivar than wht is depicted here..the character is all real and believable..tht's how marquez tells his stories..sensitive...

Ok, so GG Marquez can't do anything wrong in "my books". Meaning, that while the description of Bolivar's final moments may lack magical realism, it is still a beautiful, sad book

I usually like his books, but I thought this was boring.

A good book but definitely complicated to read. I wouldn't start with this Gabriel Garcia Marquez book first.
