Good read, very detailed

A very good book with emphesis put on the presidential years. A very good book that is an easy read.

Just finished reading this book. He was an amazing person, and dedicated to serving his country.

I really did enjoy this book. There was a lot of great research and insight into Andrew Jackson's personal life and presidency. Unfortunately I did not get to read this straight though and I had to read it in sections, so at times it felt like Meacham rambled a little more than I liked. But it is a book that I would like to read again if and when I get the time.

Taking a break from this one; it just got a to be a bit too much history to work through. Will hit it up again later on...

This book skipped over all of the interesting parts of A.J.s life.

Wierd structure and no information on early life. Only presidency and beyond.

Focused way too much on the gossip of the day. Could have benefited from more information about the actual events occurring in the country. Very flattering biography.
