Good historical fiction. A trifle slow at times. More than once I found myself wishing for action rather than words. But Liss is deft at overlaying a mystery atop the history of our nascent republic.

very readable historical novel about a much-ignored period of American history - that being between the Revolution and the War of 1812. Particularly significant for today as it deals with greed, corruption and role of government in banking.

Great novel set during the Whiskey Rebellion era just after the Revolutionary War. Action and adventure, with Alexander Hamilton playing a major role in our hero's story.

This was a wonderful read. As with Liss' previous historical novels, he wrote a fictional story around actual historical events and people. It was action packed and had me wanting to read more.
