This is a great look into Louisiana during and post-storm. It is a bit wordy, and a bit slanted, but it is a good way to understand why the emotions ran so high at the time.

Good reporting but not engaging. Best read as a series of newspaper stories.

So far it's a fantastic and compelling combination of personal narrative and big picture view of Katrina and New Orleans. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the book and am inspired to go back to NOLA.

i can barely get through the 3rd chapter. If you really want to hear stories from different people and families who went through a lot in katrina, just come over or go to n.o. yourself. Don't spend $25 or whatever it was that costs to buy this.

Thought it was boring, way to much about the political side of the disaster and majorly liberal. Not my kind of book.
