Very good book! Gives a detailed overview of what some of our people in the intel line of work have to deal with on a daily basis from the cold war to the war on terror.

I enjoyed the read. Many of the events took place in the 80's (my HS and college time period), I would say to myself, "I remember that" but never understood the serious nature of the events or how they relate to present day. I recommend for those that like the behind the scenes of State Department events and the hidden heroes that keep us safe.

A fantastic narration of the formation of the State Department's Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) and its subsequent exploits - as told by one of its earliest and influential agents.
