more The book by Tim Hartford, show the results of Economics in the knowledge of society. Harford considers that the paradigm of economics - the existence of rational actor who tried to maximize their wins and to reduce their losses - can be applied to different aspects of social reality. Hatford explores with this idea phenomena such as divorce, gaming, crime, urban decay, the economics of innovation and the development of Industrial Revolution, samong other issues. The style is funny and easy to read and if you don´t agree with the author, you need to know more about economic logics if you want to rebate it. As a non.economist, the book look to me interesting and open me a vision of economic theory very interesting. As a way to understand society since the logic of so-called "new economy" it's a good beginning. Chapter 8 "Rational Revolutions" seem to me the most interesting part.
