A wonderful book - I am so glad that this remarkable and loving couple took the time to share their experience. I really appreciated Lee's honesty and recognition that they were lucky and able to get treatment that was more than the average soldier would/could AND that they are trying to help change that.
This book brings home to its readers the horror of what's going on in Iraq. For most of the world, the war in Iraq is what we see on CNN and can then turn off at will. For the Woodruffs and other families like them, it's an everyday reality. An amazing story.
I haven't read many books since I had the boys, but I really enjoyed this book. It's a great story about a strong marriage and their adventures throughout it. Lee Woodruff's support of her husband and family is inspiring. Their work with other victums of head injuries from the war is inspiring as well
