more This is an incredible first hand account of a marine platton leader's time in Ramadi, Iraq. On the one hand you are inspired by the talented men who are in the military and the waste when their lives are lost or damaged. On the other hand you're completely disgusted by some of the thoughtless planning that went into so many of the missions they were asked to carry out. Throughout the book, you are constantly reminded of the senselessness of war. It's really a great, compelling read.
