If you want real insight into the energy crisis, and its ramifications, read this. In fact, go to YouTube and watch any of Jeff Rubin's talks and you will hear a logic around a world that MUST transition from costly oil to alternatives SOON!

For a book written by an economist it is still a fasinating read...gives a glimpse of what the future may hold for us all.

Because of this, we will see increased reliance on dirtier, less safe oil reserves. Tar sands oil, deep water oil will cost more to extract. The cost of oil extraction is then going to increase the cost of a barrel of oil and, in turn, the cost to fill...more

Not a quick read, but gives interesting insight into how all the parts of the global economy are tied together, particularly to the price of oil. Some bold predictions, but backed up with convincing arguments.
