Originally written as a daily series for a Scottish newspaper, McCall Smith juggles four or five main characters and their everyday lives, and manages to amuse and make you concerned with them at the same time. Brilliant.

Can't finish this - just not hooking me.

Yet another swift vacation read (hey, it was 28 hours of JUST traveling!).

I believe I've become addicted to Alexander McCall Smith's writing! Everything I read by him, I thoroughly enjoy.
