Very interesting history of the rise of modern (quantum) physics and the controversy surrounding it. I liked this book.

I Came across this book marked as 40% off, in the window of a Gay book shop on on either Londres or Hamburgo in the Zona Rosa of Mexico city. It appeared to me to have been an unusual stock purchase by the management of the “ Cafereria el Pendulo “ as the other parts of the window display featured product such as, glossy coffee table volumes depicting fey youths in full gimp costumes, ...more

It appeared to me to have been an unusual stock purchase by the management of the “ Cafereria el Pendulo “ as the other parts of the window display featured product such as, glossy coffee table volumes depicting fey youths in full gimp costumes, brandishing fearsome looking rubber cocks. Still, I was pleased to discover this book and the opportunity it gave to re attempt to understand the basic outline of the Schroedinger wave equation, as well as a social background to development of sub atomic physics of the 1930s.   hide

A great way to learn the science of uncertainty in plain english and as part of history.

Normally I don't like biographies, but I loved this one.
