This was a great book. It was written in a very lyrical style that keeps it's reader right in the flow as the story unfolds. It also gives a great description of how it might feel to live life with autism.

This amazing book is a poetic memoir about the challenges of living with undiagnosed Asperger's syndrome; finding solace, understanding, and redemption among gorillas; and finally, self-actualization in the face of great social difficulty. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Autism Spectrum Disorders, animal rights, human rights, or simply well-written memoirs.

What an experience, to read a book that shows you the world - and relationships - through the senses of someone who does not feel the world the way most people do.  The author is incredibly intelligent.  I couldn't put this one down.
