Reads more like a textbook. The final chapter feels hurried, very "uh-oh, time to wrap this up." Conclusions weekly drawn. It does however cover a good deal of information.

I don't know if I buy into the arguement that the British Revolution of 1688 was a precursor to the American Revolution. Barone for the most part detailed the events that lead up to William I am not sure I buy Barone's premise that the British Revolution of 1688 was a precursor the American Revolution.It is an interesting time in British History and new territory for me. Lots of interesting information, but not woven together in any sort of coherent story; the time jumps smacked of laziness, not erudition.
