A charming little tale about an orphaned boy living behind the walls in a train station. It wasn't little though. This mystery was 518 pages long, but also packed with wonderful illustrations! My daughter and I read it together and loved it!!

I was skeptical of this book...but it is amazing! I finsished in a day1 Great story, characters, and the pictures are simply goregous. I LOVE this book. You may want to check it out at the library before buying though, cuz it is VERY exspensive, and you want to make sure you like it first. :)

It's a movie disguised as a book, with something like 150 pages of drawings. Selznick story is full of awesome ideas but his writing never lives up to the plot or the visuals. This will make a really original film soon enough.

This not a book. This is more than a book, and frankly I am astounded that most juvenile books are not more like this. My son Oscar says : "It was really good. It was mysterious and scary sometimes. It had to do with a lot of movies and clocks."He read it in one day (don't be fooled by the size) and this was his first "big kid novel". He was glued to it!

A blend of novel, comic book, and movie, this book was delightful and clever while being a little weird and ever so slightly creepy, like the invention itself.I had thought I would blaze through it, since much of it is illustration, but I actually read more slowly because I wanted to study the drawings and enjoy the mystery.

It was a very unique book set up, and the story was cute...buuuut, I really couldn't get into the characters. Selznick made Isabella and Georges too mean, that I never got over it. Boy, those two were bastards!
