A fiction story, but at the start says its based on a true story, what a horrible thing for any child to go through, but it is great to see from their eyes, the story is told well, as if you can picture everything, very descriptive and detailed. A tragic story that had me angry at the end, and angry the next day, I being an empath take on feelings of others real or not. I could not put this book down once I got half way through, was after 3am when I finished only my second day of reading it. It takes an open mind of understanding to relate to things that happened in this story and why they happened, sometimes it helps to put yourself in ones position before you behave childish and act in disgust, as you never know under certain circumstances what you may or may not do. It is a gripping, horror story, with a bitter sweetness inbetween, the way these kids managed to keep their hopes, build and creat a world in such a dim life, and without ruining the ending, I do recommend it to mature readers, and age does not always define maturity.   hide
