For me this was a really fun book that was also very well written. I loved the murder mystery in a historical setting, and there were sufficient twists to keep it interesting. It was also really interesting to read all the descriptions of New York when it was just a small town and to compare those with the way NYC looks today.

I read this loved it but it seemed to go along at an even pace and then an abrupt end towards the last chapters. Almost like the aurthor would have liked to get it overHa

McCammon is amazing. He get's better with every book, which I didn't think was possible after Boys' Life and Gone South. Bring on Mr. Slaughter!

A fantastic romp of 18th century America-one of those great "satisfying reads."

This is definetly a good addition to the series. It started off slow, but once the story line was started I couldn't stop reading.

Muy buen libro, entretenido por su trama y desarrollo de los personajes, McCammon es un buen artesano en el oficio de escribir, no busca ser considerado un artista que rompe moldes.
