Even if you aren't familiar with the series, you should read this book for one reason and one reason only. In the scene where she brings the animals in the museum back to life in order to track down that sorry SOB of an Emperor, you seriously get chills. It's one of Tamora Pierces most powerful pieces of writing. It displays the actions so vividly you can feel the electricity in the air.   hide
