Emperor Mage (The Immortals)

Even if you aren't familiar with the series, you should read this book for one reason and one reason only. In the scene where she brings the animals in the museum back to life in order to track down that sorry SOB of an Emperor, you seriously get chills. It's one of Tamora Pierces most powerful pieces of writing. It displays the actions so vividly you can feel the electricity in the air.

Daine is brought the Copper iles and is under the god's doings to destroy the Emperor. this proves to be troublesome because they(Numaire, Allanna and other powerful people) are in peace treaties and are in a very unsicure(sp?) situations.

Sooooo good. I knew he would have to come back in the end but when it happened I was still so excited, and the way she bawled all over him because she thought he was dead? Soooo sweet!

This definitely isn't the best of Tamora Pierce's Tortall books, and within the series I still like the first one the best. But for fans, this is the first time we see the world outside the "Europe" continent.
