Excellent book! I grabbed it at Borders to skim, and ended up reading the entire thing! The premise grabbed me. McMann's style is simple, but in a good, accessible way. Her teenagers are both fun and moody, but also depthful in a way that really makes you care for them. She writes with a good sense of suspense that keeps you turning pages, and when you're done, you don't want to be!

Absolutely loved this book! I zipped through it, you'll have trouble putting it down! So good, the writing was great and fluent. I loved the language, it was very relatable. The characters were also really well developed and the story line was just great. Definately a fun/must read! (And it isn't just for younger teens, anyone could read and enjoy it!)
Very different writing style that went well with the book. A lot of swearing (including using Jesus and God way too much). A lot of teenage drinking and drug use. Consequences do come in the end, but still beware of all this before allowing your teen to read this series. I (as an adult) really liked it a lot and am reading book 2, Fade, today.
