Cyrano De Bergerac

Some guys just got game. Don Juan. Cassanova. Cyrano de Bergerac. It always shocks me that more people aren't familiar with this one, as it's easily one of the best love stories ever, with one of the most accomplished lovers since Romeo wooed Juliet. A play so good, it literally introduced the word "panache" to the English language.

This is my very favorite of all plays, and this happens to be my favorite Translation. Burgess is very close to being a genius if not there already. My favorite love story. Funny, sad, romantic, I still cry at the end, no matter how many times I've read it.

I love this play. Cyrano is a bold, unique character; a genius in a world of befuddled fools. His individuality is his tragic flaw and all the time he faces the world with wit. If we could all be this man.
