Very funny and informative book on the art of screen acting...and all the hurdles and bizarre situations you might encounter on a movie set.Highly recognizable for anyone who's ever set foot on a set...and great inside-information for first timers.;-)

Clearest, most 'common sense' and fundamental instruction manual for acting, and film acting in particular. 
The simplicity of the instruction he gives conceals a mountain of innate understanding on how acting actually works, and how to ignite a part. 
He's a professional of the highest order,
and not many of his peers could have presented the original BBC programme that this book...more

A totally amazing book where Michael shares personal anecdotes while giving principles for acting.  Well written, to the point and funny!

If you want to act in film, this book is essential. Caine's book is helpful, concise and TACTILE. He gives you bits and pieces that you can USE. Marvelous.

I am not an actor and I do not intend to be one now or ever. But I saw the video of this book on youtube and Michael Caine is just hilarious. He shares some of his insights and experiences from 40 years of acting in film. You'll enjoy it even if you're not an aspiring actor.
