Compelling story telling by Cooper. This was presented to me by a cousin, he said "it's kind of boring"... not at all!, I liked it even better than Treasure Island, being more fond of native American stories than pirates ones. Have to say that Michael Mann's movie adaptation in 1992 was right on target - every character as I had imagined them straight out of the book.
