Fever Pitch

Thank goodness I didn't buy this book! It was a hard slog to get to the end since I know very little about soccer!

This is my second time reading this book, and I enjoy it immensely. The insights of a superfan into the sport crosses all cultures; many of the things he said about his love of soccer I felt myself agreeing with in regards to baseball. Hornby is not afraid to expose his obsession, and the book is an excellent read because of it. I highly recommend it, although it helps to have a basic knowledge of soccer and London. I'm a Gunners fan too, but this didn't cut it. Generation gap and all.

Great book about the bestest ever football club in the world (and its funny too)
