I'm a Gunners fan too, but this didn't cut it. Generation gap and all.

I don't even like soccer ..err fooball, and I loved this book. Now I just say "How's Arsenal this year?" whenever I meet British dudes in sports pubs. The answer's always the same, "They suck"

Very funny book. If you are a sports fanatic of any sport or country you can relate. Good writing and good read. As an American I may not appreciate the back stories on the rivalry's that exist in English Football ... but I appreciate the sport as a soccer player and coach, and as a huge fan of both soccer and other sports. Very funny! It is of course about real football not that American...more

Got bored reading about Football.. or maybe because it was about Arsenal.. One of the few books i never finished reading... I guess I'm comfortable knowing that he was a die-hard Arsenal fan, just didn't get captivated by his escapades.. And did not finish it.. i guess i enjoy watching football, not reading it.. or about it. Nothing to do with the fact that it was about Arsenal and I'm Glory...more

This is a classic for true football (soccer) fans. Reading this book i understood everything Nick Hornby was talking about and everything he went through as a fan of the beautiful game.

Didn't enjoy it. Not sure what the hype is about. I should have known that I wouldn't enjoy it. Hated two movies based on it, eventhough one of them had Colin Firth in it. One word: Disappointing.

Forget the movie based on the book (they are nothing alike), 'Fever Pitch' is a book about being more than a sports fan; it's about being an obsessed fanatic. Addicts beware: you may learn something about yourself.Way better than the movie. Seriously, how was that crappy movie even allowed to say that it was based on this book?
