a not so common look at life in victorian time. it is refreashing to read something that is real and not trash romance or absolutly depressing (ie Dickens)

This was my first Sarah Waters book, but it wont be my last that's for sure. Excellent written, lively, saucy, sexy, emotional and moving. Includes sexscenes and strong language that sensitive readers should be aware of. Very nicely done though.
