There isn't really anything mind blowing or revolutionary, the ideas are rather basic, but he portrays them in such a way as to understand they would be hard to introduce and institute into society, but in the long run they would be worth it.
What I liked the best about this book is that it is NOT a religious doctrine. It approaches it's subject in a very Humanist way, accessible and understandable to all people, regardless of religious affiliation.
