Mysterious Affair at Styles: A Hercule Poirot Mystery (Agatha Christie Collection)

Have read it quite a few times. It fascinates me everytime I read it.

The literary touchstone of the country-house murder subgenre of crime fiction. It's also the beginning of Christie's justly famous Hercule Poirot series. This is mystery writing at its leanest -- little characterization and atmospheric stage-setting beyond the most superficial of details; this is all about the clues and Poirot's piecing them together. I get it, but it's not exactly my cup of tea.

A very clever mystery, many twists and suspects, but I found that I wasn't really impressed with the book. It was kind of slow. Eh.

I'll say the same for all of Christie's books: I love them, never read one that I didn't like. Enjoy reading them again and again
